END OF YEAR

The thing I am most proud of is how much iv’e advanced in math
My favourite assignment/task this year was TOPEC day because I got to hangout with friends and learn new skills.
The most interesting thing I learned this year was about the Polynesian explorers getting to learn about the history of our people was a cool experience.
The thing I want to do better / differently next year is writing because I just want to advance in writing.
The thing I struggled with most this year is…
3 words to describe this year are calm, lots of learning and fun

Some things I learned about rock climbing are, Rock Climbing is one of the only sports that works the entire body.
One tip I was given before camp was to give everything a try and I did!
I will be doing a blog of photos and a video.

I think AI is good because you can access things much faster

One of the thing i think makes AI bad is people can use it for the wrong things such as cheating and hacking

MATAURANGA DAYS Learning About POI

To get a perfect plait like this it takes many practices but when you get it the feeling is amazing:

SOME OF THE THING IS LEARNT ABOUT POI IS…

  • When Poi was originally made they used flax and harakeke has the outer of the Poi but on the inside they used rock so when hitting your hand and wrist with Poi would strengthen them over time so men usually used them to train for battle.
  • One other thing the woman used them for was  when making a rhythmic sounds it would be like footsteps and it would confuse the enemy just imgange it in your head hearing them coming towards you.
  • They made Poi out of …

.flax/harakeke

.Stone

.dog hair

Now they make Poi out of plastic string and foam/pillow fluff
